The paper titled “Low-complexity Pruned 8-point DCT Approximations for Image Encoding” has been accepted for publication at CONIELECOMP 2015. Congratulations to co-authors Vitor, Renato, Fábio, and Sunera.
Month: November 2014
MS graduate Arindam Sengupta will be interning at the NRAO Robert C. Byrd Radio Telescope at Greenbank, West Virginia (see https://science.nrao.edu/facilities/gbt). He will be working on FPGA designs using CASPER tools for RF digital signal processing. Many congratulations on being selected for this prestigious engineering position.
Many congratulations to Paulo Oliveira, Renato Cintra, Fabio Bayer, Sunera Kulasekara, and Arjuna Madanayake for their recently accepted paper “A Discrete Tchebichef Transform Approximation for Image and Video Coding”, at IEEE Signal Processing Letters (SPL).
Nilanka Rajapaksha defends his PhD
Deep congratulations to Nilanka, for successfully defending his PhD dissertation titled “Wave-Digital Filter based Circuits for Beamformers and RF-FPGAs”. Nilanka is the second PhD to complete his doctoral studies from the ASPC lab. The work was supported by the College of Engineering and the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Code 312 Communications and Networking Technology Division.
