New Service Coming: myDesire2Learn

A number of programs utilize the ePortfolio tool in Springboard. Students often put a great deal of time, effort, and creativity into building their ePortfolio materials. However, when a student reaches the end of his/her career here at the University of Akron, the question becomes – “What happens to my ePortfolio after I graduate?” A new service from Desire2Learn will soon address that issue!

Scheduled for release in March 2013, a new service called myDesire2Learn will be available for students. By creating an account with myDesire2Learn, you will receive 2GB of storage for ePortfolio materials for free. In addition, there will also be a simple export process that will allow you to transfer your ePortfolio from Springboard directly to myDesire2Learn.

More information is available at http://mydesire2learn.com. There is also a place for you to enter your email address to be notified when you can register for the service.

Please note that this service is primarily directed towards graduating students who would like to retain their ePortfolio materials – any changes made in myDesire2Learn cannot be transferred back to Springboard for evaluation or grading purposes.
