Tech Talk Tuesday kicks off with Springboard Upgrade

Instructional Services and the Institute for Teaching and Learning have added new dates for Spring of the popular Tech Talk Tuesday Series for UA faculty and staff. The first session of the series will cover the newest version of Springboard, version 10.1. Future sessions will cover topics ranging from Panopto Focus to Quality Matters and, from Qualtrics to using iPads in the Classroom.

All sessions are 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and are held in Leigh Hall 414 (unless otherwise noted). No registration is necessary and, feel free to bring your lunch. Handouts and recordings of each session will be available after each session has concluded.

  • January 22: Springboard v.10.1 – Andy Bonecutter, Application Systems Analyst, will outline and discuss the newest features of Desire2Learn (D2L) version 10.1. Andy will also highlight important changes from the previous version of Springboard.
  • January 29: Panopto Focus – Learn the benefits of using a lecture capture tool, Panopto Focus, in the classroom. This session will also demonstrate the ability to integrate Panopto Focus with your Springboard class.
  • February 5: Qualtrics – Learn about Qualtrics, the University’s new survey tool and replacment for Checkbox. This session will be held in the Student Union, room 316.
