The Ohio Quality Matters Consortium’s Annual Member Meeting May 14, 2014

The Second Ohio Quality Matters Consortium’s Annual Member Meeting will be held at Columbus State Community College on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Register Here.

 

The Annual Member Meeting will be a day of hands on information sessions focusing on Quality Matters initiatives. There will also be time and opportunities for networking with your peers from around the state.

Breakout Sessions

  • Open Forums Q&A have experienced panelists who present a topic and then take questions.
  • Roundtable sessions with tables that seat 6-8 people using a “speed dating” format.
  • Brief presentations (10 minutes) on similar topics, each followed by some questions.
  • Traditional presentation sessions focusing on one specific topic.

Special Guest Speaker after lunch: Quality Matters Managing Director, Dr. Deborah Adair

Moving Forward with Quality: What’s Next for the QM Community

Dr. Adair is the Managing Director and Chief Planning Officer of the non-profit Quality Matters Program, a widely-adopted program for quality assurance in online learning serving more than 800 K12, postsecondary, government, corporate, and other organizations involved in eLearning in the U.S. and internationally. With over 20 years’ experience in higher education, she has held faculty appointments in management at the American University and Troy State University and is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Maryland University College.

Adair received an A.A. degree from Broward Community College, a B.S. degree from Boston University, and a M.S. and Ph.D. from University of Arizona. She is a graduate of the first class of the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Education and an alumna of the HERS Leadership Institute.

She serves on the boards of the technology-based education associations WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies and the National University Technology Network and has authored and presented widely on the topic of quality assurance for online learning.
