Education: B.Tech (Textile Technology) and a minor in Physics (Nano Science and Engineering), Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi

Work Experience:

Dec 2010 – May 2012: Experiments and Modelling of Electrospinning process with optimization of process parameters

May 2011 – July 2011: Research Intern at Aditya Birla Science and Technology Co.

  • Preparation of Poly (Carbonate) based microcapsules using coacervation technique.

May 2010 – July 2010: Coated Fabrics at SMITA Research LABs, I.I.T.D

  • Silica and Titania based coatings to impart functionalities like flame retardancy and hydrophobicity to the awnings

Research Interests:

Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulation (atomistic), Ab-initio simulation, Sum-Frequency Generation Vibrational Spectroscopy (SFG). I’m currently studying how does polymers (PMMA-test study) behave at liquid and crystal (Sapphire) interface with the help SFG, MD and Ab-initio. Once a basic idea is formulated about the theory of combining MD and Ab-initio simulations with the SFG experimental technique, I’d like to study how do liquid/liquid interfaces behave.
