Research Interests:                                                                                                                         My current research interest is in understanding the adhesive mechanism of bacteria, namely Caulobacter crescentus, and how knowledge of this characteristic can influence new design innovations for bioadhesives used in both medical and industrial applications. In the same vein, I have interests in the broad area of bio mimicry/bio-inspiration, and the resultant applications to material design.
