Work Experience:In-Plant Training at Corrosion Protection Division, 3M India Ltd., Ahmedabad, India from May 2013 to July 2013. The primary focus of my research was to develop solvent-less anti-corrosive epoxy coatings. Explored non-conventional fillers in polyurethane coatings and simulated corrosion on these coatings using salt-spray.
Research Interests:
The real motive is to understand polymer-polymer interfaces and to study adhesion between two heterogeneous polymer surfaces. Another important aspect of my research is to engineer a plasma-based technique to modify polymer surfaces and improve adhesion for packaging materials. Understanding self-assembled structures on polymer surfaces which have influence on macroscopic properties such as adhesion and friction in general are also part of the road map.
