Main Purpose: To fund research in the area of human sexuality. This research can be a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation, but this is not a requirement.

Russell Sage Foundation: Small Grants Program in Behavioral Economics

Main Purpose: To encourage young scholars to conduct research in the field of behavioral economics and that contributes to the mission to improve the social and living conditions in the United States.

  • Must be an advanced doctoral student -OR-

Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards: Individual Predoctoral Fellowships

Main Purpose: To provide full-time research training for pre-doctoral researchers and to promote diversity in health-related research including the biomedical and behavioral sciences. Students from diverse racial and ethnic groups, individuals with disabilities, and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Benefits:

  • Stipends
  • Funds for tuition and fees
  • An Institutional Allowance to help cover the cost fellowship expenses
  • Support for research training leading to a Ph.D., combined M.D./Ph.D., or other combined degree in the biomedical or behavioral sciences

Time Limit: up to five years

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be an individual with a disability, from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, or from a disadvantaged background
  • Must be pursuing an advanced degree in the biomedical and behavioral sciences
  • Must hold a baccalaureate degree
  • Must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program
  • Must be U.S. citizen, non-citizen national, or lawfully admitted permanent resident
