Main Purpose: To “support efforts in education, research and service that advance and encourage the field of psychoanalysis. An important goal of this grant is to focus is on increasing the public awareness of the benefits of psychoanalytic principles and treatments and on the value of applying psychoanalytic thought to organizational and social problems.”

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of psychoanalytic principles.
  • Preference will be given to graduate students involved in dissertation research and/or those who demonstrate a long-term interest in research related to underserved populations.

Main Purpose: To fund research that will help achieve “improved outcomes and/or system efficiencies in care of high acuity or critically ill individuals of any age.”

“Especially desirable are proposals for hospital-based inquiry that focus on any of the following:

  • Intervention strategies addressing technology integration into patient care
  • Use of computerized medical record systems in assessing patient outcomes and managing care
  • Improving specific patient care outcomes (e.g., clinical, safety, financial)

Main Purpose: “We designed the AACN Impact Research Grant to address gaps in high-acuity and critical care areas of clinical research.”

Main Purpose: These grants support research on social problems and help social and behavioral researchers apply their knowledge to today’s problems. Areas that will receive special consideration include:

  • Marriage equality
  • Immigration reform

Benefits: “Funding up to $1000 is available for graduate student research if proposals are accompanied by evidence of a request for appropriate university official agreement to match the amount requested.”

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Must be a member of The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI)
