(1) List your judicial experience (courts and years):
Not applicable. This would be my first judicial term.

(2) What about your non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a
judge?
Since 2006 I have represented a diverse array of clients in State and
Federal courts across Ohio. My trial and appeals practice have taken
me to more than one hundred different courts in the Courts of
Common Pleas, Federal District Courts, Courts of Appeals and the Ohio
Supreme Court.
As a Common Pleas judge I would employ the best practices I have
observed in this wide range of litigation experiences. I’ve cultivated a
professional reputation built upon respect for my colleagues and their
clients, honesty in all dealings, intelligence, and patience. I take my
Oath to uphold our State and Federal Constitutions with the utmost
sincerity. I’m proud of my reputation because in today’s often
contentious world of high-stakes litigation it can be difficult to keep the
proper professional demeanor required of attorneys.
As a Common Pleas judge, I will maintain this even-keeled
temperament and treat all parties and attorneys fairly and impartially,
with respect and with patience. Professional Honors: recognized in
Marquis Who’s Who in America (2018); selected as a Super Lawyer or
Rising Star by Thompson-Reuters since 2011; selected as a Top 100
trial attorney in Ohio by the National Trial Lawyers organization;
Trustee for the Ohio Association for Justice (2013-Feb. 2018);
volunteer mentor for C-M law students; volunteer mediator for the
Lake County Court of Common Pleas; volunteer attorney with the Wills
for Heroes charitable program.
Since 2011 I have been a faculty member of the National Business
Institute, teaching other attorneys basic and advanced litigation
strategies through Ohio Supreme Court approved Continuing Legal
Education courses.

(3) Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I want to improve the level of hands-on, personal judicial service
provided to Cuyahoga County citizens, businesses and attorneys. I have
the temperament, integrity, professionalism, and patience to foster the
public’s respect for and trust in the judiciary. As a judge, I would spend as much time as possible with the parties,
prosecutors, and attorneys at all stages of a case’s history. I perceive a
deficiency of judicial attention to newly filed cases that does not reflect
well upon the courts. Closer attention to individual cases will, in my
opinion, increase the efficiency of the court and conserve both private
and judicial resources. It would be a great honor to serve if elected. I am
the very first attorney in our family and I have worked hard for my
success in the legal field. I want to take that dedication and apply it to
the benefit of society and the judiciary.
