Welcome to Akron Law’s New FIT FOR LAW!

What is Fit for Law?

The Fit for Law program coordinates the events the law school offers for mental, physical, emotional and financial health under one heading. The ongoing programs will be established as a series. The end of each semester will culminate with a Law School Recess for the students. The recess will provide physical activities, healthy snacks, and a chance for students to bond.

Is this is a Student Organization?

No. The Sports and Entertainment Law Society has volunteered to sustain the series. This program series is titled to incorporate all of the existing programs at the Law School and create a centralized place for information about the programming. Our vision is to demonstrate how taking care of yourself doesn’t require a total lifestyle overhaul. Even small things can lift your mood, increase your energy, and make you feel like you’re back in the driver’s seat. Take things one step at a time, and as you make more positive lifestyle choices, you’ll soon notice a difference in your stress level, both at home and school. The programs offered by the Law School and student organizations work to produce happy lives, reduce stress and create better study habits.

How are Fit for Law events coordinated?

The events are already in existence. The Fit for Law program series gathers the information from programs that are conducted by various student organizations and offices at the Law School. SELS will coordinate the Law School Recess.
