AkronLawJobs No. 7079 Overview: Hiring ONE paid student to start AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The Expungement Clinic helps low-income residents with the court process to seal the record of their criminal convictions. A sealed record allows better access to employment and housing and removes the stigma associated with a criminal conviction.
Duties: Representing clients. Training new volunteers. Communicating with clients. Conducting community presentations. Provide administrative support for the program.
Qualifications: 1L, 2L, 3L. Must be willing to commit 5 hours per week. Students who are eligible for a legal intern certificate will appear in court and represent clients at the expungement hearings.
