LSAC Diversity Committee Writing Competition

The Law School Admission Council’s Diversity Committee is offering a writing competition on “Why pipeline programs targeting students from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds are essential to the future of the legal profession.” All current law students are eligible, and there are categories based on law-school status (1L, 2L, 3L/4L). Essays may be up to 20 pages (5000 words or less). One winning paper will be selected from each of the three categories, and each winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize and publication on discoverlaw.org. One overall winning paper will be submitted for publication in the Journal of Legal Education (or similar publication). The deadline is 5:00 p.m. EST on March 31, 2017.
