Gain invaluable and everyday courtroom (and possibly trial) experience with the State of Alaska’s Office of Public Advocacy (OPA) in Palmer, Alaska.
OPA are court-appointed attorneys for indigent: adults and juveniles accused of crimes; child dependency proceedings; and divorces.
Alaska Bar Rule 44 permits legal interns to appear in any courtroom under the supervision of an attorney, and to even appear in certain courtrooms by themselves. Travel assistance may be possible.
