Exciting opportunity in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, Southcentral Alaska!

Summer Intern wanted May-August, 2018 for law student who will be 3L in 2018-19.

Gain invaluable and everyday courtroom (and possibly trial) experience with the State of Alaska’s Office of Public Advocacy (OPA) in Palmer, Alaska.

OPA are court-appointed attorneys for indigent:  adults and juveniles accused of crimes; child dependency proceedings; and divorces.

Alaska Bar Rule 44 permits legal interns to appear in any courtroom under the supervision of an attorney, and to even appear in certain courtrooms by themselves.  Travel assistance may be possible.  The opportunity to see beautiful Alaska is yours for the asking.  UA Law ’91 Andrew Weinraub is one of the 5 Assistant Public Advocates at the office.
