The University of Akron is again sponsoring a conference to promote student research. This year’s Conference on Undergraduate and Graduate Student Research will be held March 27 at the Student Union. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to present their research in oral or poster form. Important dates…Deadline for abstracts is February 8; and notification of acceptance is February 20. We welcome back Dr. Raymond Cox III this semester from McGill Institute in Montreal, Quebec, where he was studying public policy issues affecting the United States and Canada. Dr. Cox spent the fall semester at McGill as part of the Fulbright Distinguished Chair’s Program. He is the first professor at The University of Akron to receive this distinction. In particular, Dr. Cox sought to expand his research on ethics in Canadian municipalities.
