September Maker Monday is Next Week!

Hello Makers!

Just a reminder that Maker Monday is coming up on September 18th! Please join us from 7-9pm at the Schantz MakerSpace (626 S Walnut St, Orrville, OH 44667) as we talk about upcoming classes and offer some help to returning students from our CNC and 3-D Printer classes.

The highlight this week is our Drone Flight Class! We are offering a Flight Training class that covers two Saturday afternoons (September 30th and October 7th, 1-4pm). Cost for the course is $120. You receive a fully built, small drone with remote control. Students will be able to practice with flight simulators, as well as, maneuver their drones through some practice obstacles. If you want to take part in this course, please be in attendance and bring your payment (check made out to Schantz Organ Company). You can also call us during the day at 330-682-6065 to make a credit card payment and reserve your spot. Hurry, because these spots will go fast!

We are also encouraging our 3-D Printer build teams to bring their machines and discuss what they have made/ask questions about issues they’ve encountered. The more our community grows, the more experience we can offer. Maker Mondays are a great opportunity to get insight from our volunteers and fellow class members who may have experienced similar problems or offer tips on how to improve your machine.

In addition, we will be looking to schedule a work/discussion day regarding Fusion 360 software. We’re all in the same boat with learning about this software and how it is incorporated into our machines. The purpose of this discussion is to work through some of the issues people are experiencing. Many of you requested this and we want to make it happen. Please come and help us discuss potential dates.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!
