April Maker Monday

Hello Makers!

Please join us at Schantz MakerSpace next Monday, April 16th from 7:00-9:00pm for the next installment of Maker Monday!

This month’s theme:

A 3-D Printer Build Class Reunion!

Over the past year, we’ve had over 60 students join us for a Build Class and construct their own TEVO Tarantula 3-D Printer. But the fun doesn’t stop after the build class ends. We’re asking all of our past students to bring in their upgrades, add-ons and creations to showcase for other makers. Sharing ideas is part of what makes this community so great and what can inspire future makers.

Speaking of future makers, our first build class at Wooster High School kicks off this Saturday from 8am-12noon in the WHS Engineering Room. A total of 30 WHS student build teams will dive into their kits and become part of the community. If you were part of a previous build class and would be willing to volunteer as an instructor at any of the three upcoming classes, please contact us.

The deadline for signing up as a presenter for the Wayne County Maker Faire has been extended. Tom Hammond will be on hand to talk about what you can expect at this year’s Maker Faire and how you can sign up to participate. Schantz MakerSpace is also looking for volunteers to help put on the Kids Zone at this year’s Maker Faire. If you’re willing to help out for a few hours, please talk to John Schantz at Maker Monday or e-mail us to let us know your interest.

We’ll see you Monday!
