There were shops\u00a0everywhere.\u00a0Entering the inner shops was like entering a labyrinth\u2014everywhere you looked, there were shops and unique items to be purchased! It was almost impossible\u00a0to stay oriented. It wasn&#8217;t easy to find our meeting spot when we were finished!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1887 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/adventures-abroad\/files\/2016\/06\/IMG_2315-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2315\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There were also tasty snacks to be tried. I had the freshest, most delicious mango (served in a plastic bag) and freshly made coconut ice cream, along with some iced chrysanthemum tea. I quickly discovered I should&#8217;ve been drinking water constantly, though\u2014it was hot hot hot!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1883 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/adventures-abroad\/files\/2016\/06\/IMG_2275-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2275\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1891 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/adventures-abroad\/files\/2016\/06\/IMG_2312-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2312\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After shopping until we dropped (truly\u2014I went a bit overboard, but who wouldn&#8217;t?), we made our way to our Thai cooking class. I was so excited to learn!\u00a0I&#8217;ve never known much about cooking real meals, let alone Thai ones!<\/p>\n<p>I was not let down. We strapped on colorful aprons and knelt on mats around a gorgeous arrangement of ingredients as our teacher explained a little about each meal we&#8217;d be making. She was informative, of course, but also really funny!<\/p>\n<p>We made fresh spring rolls, spicy soup, sweet green curry, pad thai, and then they made us mango sticky rice for dessert. It was fantastic, because we were allowed to decide how spicy to make our own meals, and could omit certain ingredients if we didn&#8217;t like them.
