Through our\nresearch volunteer program, students can connect with scientists at Cleveland\nMetroparks Zoo to help us collect data and achieve research goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Zoo offers\nunpaid research volunteer positions to qualified undergraduate and graduate\nlevel students currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"411\" height=\"548\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/bio-internships\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1511\/2019\/03\/Cleve-zoo2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-83\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/bio-internships\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1511\/2019\/03\/Cleve-zoo2.jpg 411w, https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/bio-internships\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1511\/2019\/03\/Cleve-zoo2.jpg?resize=225,300 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 411px) 100vw, 411px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As a research volunteer, you\nwill:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be involved in collecting behavioral data for active\nresearch projects going on in the Zoo<\/li><li>Gain valuable experience in data entry, data\nmanagement, and data analysis<\/li><li>Learn more about animals and animal\nwelfare research techniques<\/li><li>Train with zoo scientists and make valuable connections in the Zoo<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that research volunteers do not directly interact with the animals.
