Introduce the biomimicry thought process in an industrial setting and exploring natural forms in a man-made context
Elucidating the intersection and influence of arthropod materials/structure on their biomechanics
In California, Sarah’s undergrad study, research and work was focused on entomology. As a Biomimicry Fellow, she uses high-speed videography to study arthropod biomechanics and examines systems to find the intersection of materials, structure and mechanics. Sarah also uses artwork and videography to communicate scientific ideas.
