The CFCE will conduct fundraising activities for the purpose of providing funding for both short-term and long-term initiatives. These initiatives will support the efforts to better position The University of Akron’s Department of Civil Engineering program in attracting and retaining the best students available.
The CFCE is comprised of members of the local civil engineering community whose mission is to increase the number of degree’d civil engineers available for hire, thereby ensuring the highest quality of service to government agencies, construction managers, and the extended civil engineering community.
