Capstone senior design project for ECE is a three semester process composed of three courses:
Design Project Seminar is a one credit hour course where students form teams and develop two senior design proposals. These proposals can be based on ideas suggested by students, faculty, external sponsors or design competitions. Seminar lecture topics cover team formation, proposal development. design process, intellectual property, engineering ethics and societal issues.
Senior Design Project I is a two credit hour course where students utilized their design and analysis skills to develop a project design document.
Senior Design Project II is a three credit hour course where students implement a working prototype based on their team’s design document.
