Multi-disciplinary and multi-investigator research is encouraged and emphasized. Funding is also available for &#8220;interdisciplinary research that strengthens links among economics and the other social and behavioral sciences as well as mathematics and statistics.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"due_date_first\">Research in almost all areas of economics can be supported:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Econometrics<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Economic history<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Environmental economics<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Finance<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Industrial organization<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">International economics<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Labor economics<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Macroeconomics<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Mathematical economics<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Public finance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"due_date_first\"><strong>Benefits:\u00a0<\/strong>This\u00a0grant can be used for doctoral dissertation improvement, conferences, workshops, symposia, experimental research, data collection and dissemination, computer equipment and other instrumentation, and research experience for undergraduates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"due_date_first\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">Although not a requirement, proposals from junior faculty, women, underrepresented minorities, and Research Undergraduate Institutions are encouraged.<\/li>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">For Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grants:\n<ul>\n<li class=\"due_date_first\">The\u00a0dissertation advisor should be listed as the Principal Investigator and the student as the Co-Principal Investigator.
