{"id":2954,"date":"2015-03-12T18:05:41","date_gmt":"2015-03-12T18:05:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/gsd-dissertation-grants\/?p=2954"},"modified":"2015-03-12T18:06:11","modified_gmt":"2015-03-12T18:06:11","slug":"law-and-social-sciences-lss-research-grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/gsd-dissertation-grants\/law-and-social-sciences-lss-research-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"Law and Social Sciences (LSS) Research Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Main Purpose:<\/strong>\u00a0To support\u00a0&#8220;research that advances scientific theory and understanding of the connections between law or legal processes and human behavior.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Research topics may include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Crime, Violence and Punishment<\/li>\n<li>Economic Issues<\/li>\n<li>Governance<\/li>\n<li>Legal Decision Making<\/li>\n<li>Legal Mobilization and Conceptions of Justice<\/li>\n<li>Litigation and the Legal Profession<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dissertation Grant, maximum $20,000<\/li>\n<li>Funding for maximum of 12 months<\/li>\n<li>Funding intended to cover costs not covered by the students&#8217; university and is not intended to cover the full cost of the dissertation.
