\nI have been a practicing attorney for 14 years. During that time I have
\nhad the pleasure of representing people in most of the counties in
\nnorth east Ohio. I am also licensed to practice in the Federal Courts for
\nthe Northern District of Ohio. Since I am an Assistant Prosecutor for
\nCarroll County I have also had the opportunity to represent the State
\nof Ohio in criminal cases. I have experience with both defendants and
\nplaintiffs and I believe that will help me make informed decisions when
\nit comes to over seeing tough cases.<\/p>\n

(3) Why are you running for this particular court seat?<\/strong>
\nIt\u2019s simple: I care deeply about my community and I think The Carroll
\nCounty Court of Common Pleas should be something that our
\ncommunity can respect. I think the Court could be improved in several
\nways to ensure that it is a respectable institution in our community. Key
\nthings that I will address as your Judge:
\nFair and Legally Sound Rulings. As a Judge I won\u2019t be afraid to make the
\ntough decisions. I also won\u2019t be legislating from the bench. I will use the
\nfacts presented to the court, combined with established law to give
\npeople fair and timely rulings. I believe that it\u2019s important for the court
\nto fully review each and every case prior to each hearing. This way the
\nJudge can be properly prepared to rule on the case. People should not
\nleave the courthouse feeling like their position was never even
\nreviewed or considered.
\nTimely Hearings and Rulings. As a Judge I promise to have a hearing
\nschedule that is run in a timely manner. I will be there on time and fully
\nprepared to start your hearing when it is scheduled. After all, how can
\nthe court expect to have the respect of its community if the court itself
\ndoes not respect the community?I also think each case should be
\ndecided in a timely manner. In order to ensure efficiency I will institute
\na case scheduling system. When a case is \u00d7led a timeline for that case
\nwill be created that sets a definite date when the case should be
\nfinalized. This will ensure that cases don\u2019t stay open and unresolved for
\nunnecessary amounts of time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
