\nMagistrate \u2013 Juvenile Court Diversion Program \u2013 Pro Bono \u2013 2001-
\n2016. Presided over hearings involving first-time and misdemeanor
\njuvenile offenders. Listened to testimony of police officers, juveniles,
\nand their parents. Rendered dispositions, including community service,
\ncurfew, random drug screens, attending drug awareness courses and
\nreferrals for counseling.
\nCommon Pleas Court Judicial Staff Attorney \u2013 2005-present.
\nMaintained and coordinated civil docket. Cases included personal
\ninjury, contract, property, class action, medical malpractice, nursing
\nhome abuse, wrongful death, and insurance litigation. Conducted case
\nmanagement conferences, default hearings, pretrials, and settlement
\nconferences on behalf of the court. Researched legal issues and wrote
\nmemoranda of law advising court on proper dispositions of motions and
\nproper rulings at hearings, and aided the court in the resolution and
\nsettlement of hundreds of cases.<\/p>\n

(2) What about your non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a<\/strong>
\njudge?<\/strong>
\nI not only have experience in civil law working as a Judicial Staff
\nAttorney, but I have extensive criminal law experience as well. I worked
\nat both the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor\u2019s Office and the Cuyahoga
\nCounty Public Defender\u2019s Office, researching and trying numerous
\ncases. I also worked at two law firms in private practice. Before I started
\nmy legal career I obtained a Master of Arts degree and was a board
\nmember for The Cleveland Sculpture Center. I did extensive research
\nand writing, and contributed to and co-authored two publications with
\nthe Library of Congress.<\/p>\n

(3) Why are you running for this particular court seat?<\/strong>
\nI am currently employed at Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court as
\na Judicial Staff Attorney. I have worked for the Court\u2019s General Division
\nfor over 13 years, and have extensive knowledge and experience
\nhandling civil cases. Civil cases make up approximately 70 percent of a
\nJudge\u2019s docket at the General Division of Common Pleas Court.
\nI also have extensive experience working as both a Prosecutor and a
\nPublic Defender on criminal cases. This unique experience of being
\nboth a Prosecutor and Public Defender has taught me the importance
\nof being honest, impartial, and fair. I have been an attorney in excellent
\nstanding for twenty years. I have the work ethic, experience, skills, and
\nknowledge to preside over both civil and criminal cases as an impartial
\nand excellent Judge. Thus, I know that I am an excellent candidate to
