I presided over Juvenile Traffic Court and had many trials. Cases<br \/>\nranged from speed and assured clear distance to OVI\\\u2019s and vehicular<br \/>\nhomicide. I worked with community organizations to establish<br \/>\nprograms for juveniles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) What about your non-judicial legal experience quali\u00d7es you to be a<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>judge?<\/strong><br \/>\nI have practiced law for 33 years. I have represented thousands of<br \/>\nclients in every type of case that is heard in the domestic and juvenile<br \/>\nbranch of the court. My experience as a trial lawyer in all courts gives<br \/>\nme the perspective needed to be a fair judge. My clients are people<br \/>\nfrom diverse backgrounds and with diverse issues. Domestic and<br \/>\nJuvenile court cases involve emotional issues and people who are not in<br \/>\nthe best places. I have the personality and temperament that is needed<br \/>\nto be a good and effective judge. I listen to people, I am respectful of all<br \/>\npeople, I am knowledgeable of the law and know when I don\\\u2019t know<br \/>\nsomething and need to do research. I understand that a Judge\\\u2019s duty is<br \/>\nto provide a fair, unbiased and efficient courtroom for litigants to<br \/>\npresent their cases and get resolutions so they can move on with their<br \/>\nlives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) Why are you running for this particular court seat?<\/strong><br \/>\nI want to use my knowledge and experience to provide a courtroom<br \/>\nwhere every person is shown respect, where cases are decided based<br \/>\non the law and the facts presented and cases are heard and decided in a<br \/>\ntimely manner. i will work with the community to provide juveniles with<br \/>\noptions and to learn consequences of their actions and try to keep them<br \/>\nfrom ending up in the adult court system.
