\nUnited States Navy as a nuclear-trained officer on board a fast-attack

\nSince 2017, I have served as a judge on the Hamilton County Common
\nPleas Court, presiding over multi-million dollar civil cases and felony
\ncriminal matters, including murder cases, rapes, and significant drug related
\noffenses.<\/p>\n

(2) What about your non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a<\/strong>
\njudge?<\/strong>
\nI have a broad background that provides me the experience and insight
\nto continue to serve the people of Hamilton County in the fair and
\nimpartial administration of justice. As part of my 22 years of the private
\npractice of law prior to assuming the bench as a judge, I served as law
\nclerk for a federal court of appeals judge. I then worked for two major
\nlaw firms in Cincinnati, dealing predominately with complex civil cases.
\nOpening my own law practice in 2002, I then had nearly 15 years of
\nrepresenting and advising individuals and small family businesses.
\nThrough my private law practice, I was involved in a variety of criminal
\nand civil matters, including trials and appeals. Through this broad
\nprivate practice of law, I better understand and appreciate the
\nsignificant impact, both financially and emotionally, that being involved
\nin any manner in the legal system has on both individuals and
\nbusinesses. It is something I think about and appreciate in each case
\nthat comes before me to working to ensure a fair and timely resolution.<\/p>\n

(3) Why are you running for this particular court seat?<\/strong>
\nI want to continue to serve the people of Hamilton County in ensuring
\nthe predictability, stability and accountability provided by the law.
\nThrough my broad and extensive background, I bring the experience
\nand insight necessary to ensure the fair and impartial administration of
\njustice, while also recognizing and appreciating that matters that come
\nbefore the courts are not simply theoretical exercises.
\nInstead, the cases, both criminal and civil, involve real individuals for
\nwhom the decisions that I make have a direct personal impact upon
\nthem, their families and others, as well as effecting society as a whole.
\nAttorneys from across the political spectrum who practice before me
\nand support keeping me on the bench recognize and acknowledge the
\nfairness, respectfulness and commitment I have to doing the right thing
\nin each case before me. I have proven myself worthy of this high office
\nand wish to continue my commitment to the law and to the people of
