Judicial Votes Count is an initiative to help Ohio voters\u00a0learn more about you and your qualifications to be a judge. It also is a tool to help users learn more about the\u00a0state\u2019s judicial system \u2013 how it works, what judges do and how judges impact the lives of Ohioans.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All candidates complete the same online Web form.<\/li>\n<li>Word limits are in effect only for 2 questions on the Web form and are noted as such.<\/li>\n<li>All candidates will be listed on the Know Your Candidates page, even if some choose not to provide\u00a0their profile information.<\/li>\n<li>There will be links to candidate profiles for participating candidates only.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates who do not participate will be noted as \u201cDeclined to Participate.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The staff of Judicial Votes Count does not correct any misspellings, or errors in grammar or\u00a0punctuation. (Answers to all questions are copied and pasted exactly how information is submitted.)<\/li>\n<li>You may request edits to correct wording or misspellings at any time, by emailing <a href=\"mailto:JudicialVotesCount@gmail.com\">JudicialVotesCount@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0and explaining your desired changes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>All endorsements, bar ratings, and bar recommendations must be submitted by the candidate. <\/strong><u>Bar ratings and recommendations must state the name of the organization, as well as the year of the rating\/recommendation<\/u>.<\/li>\n<li>In accordance with the statutory process of electing judges in Ohio, political-party affiliation will be\u00a0listed only for the primary election.<\/li>\n<li><strong>It is crucial that candidates are matched to the correct seats up for election, which are\u00a0determined by term dates.<\/strong> If you do not know the exact term date of the seat you seek, then contact\u00a0your local board of elections to ask.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Suggestions for Your Candidate Profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consider listing your name for your profile in the same way it will be listed on the ballot.<\/li>\n<li>Add endorsements, bar ratings, or bar recommendations as they become available.
