Position Description – Reporting to the Policy Director, the Internship Program Coordinator, working with two undergraduate employees,\u00a0leads a group summer experience in civil liberties for high school students. Duties include:\u00a0 Develop, implement, and teach summer civil liberties program curriculum; Mentor undergraduate employees in developing leadership and teaching skills; Supervise undergraduate\u00a0employees and eight high school student interns; Schedule weekly experiential field trips; \u00a0 Coordinate the efforts of undergraduate\u00a0employees and high school interns to plan and prepare for the Summer Brown Bag Lecture Series; Produce progress reports and a final written evaluation of the internship program; Assist with the coordination of spring and summer educational programs and events;\u00a0 Other duties as assigned<\/h2>\n

\u00a0Requirements – This is a grant-funded and time-limited position.\u00a0 Some evening and weekend work is required.\u00a0 Applicants must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver\u2019s license, and an excellent driving record.\u00a0 The position may require travel outside the Cleveland area.\u00a0 The organization conducts a\u00a0\u00a0driving record check.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Skills\/Experience – Experience working directly with groups of young people ages 16 to 22.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience in developing activities that enhance the different professional and educational needs of undergraduate\u00a0\u00a0employees\u00a0and high school interns.\u00a0 Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and to effectively delegate tasks to others.\u00a0 Ability to articulate ACLU positions on a variety of issues.\u00a0 Proficiency with web navigation, Microsoft Office, and all basic office functions<\/p>\n

\u00a0Hours\/Pay – This is an hourly position with a range of $20-$23 per hour, working approximately 20 hours per week. The start and end dates are somewhat flexible starting in late spring\u00a0\/early summer\u00a0and ending in late summer with the possibility of some continued employment based on our needs and your performance.<\/p>\n
