{"id":10389,"date":"2012-04-20T10:52:27","date_gmt":"2012-04-20T15:52:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/?p=10389"},"modified":"2012-04-20T10:52:27","modified_gmt":"2012-04-20T15:52:27","slug":"oacta-law-student-diversity-scholarship-deadline-is-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/2012\/04\/20\/oacta-law-student-diversity-scholarship-deadline-is-today\/","title":{"rendered":"OACTA Law Student Diversity Scholarship &#8211; Deadline is TODAY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OACTA 2012 Law Student Diversity Scholarships Available<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>OACTA&#8217;s annual Law Student Diversity Scholarship program is open to incoming second and third-year African American, Hispanic, Asian, Pan Asian and Native American students enrolled at Ohio law schools. Incoming second and third-year female law students enrolled at Ohio law schools are also eligible regardless of race or ethnicity.\u00a0 Other criteria for the scholarship include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Academic achievement in law school;<\/li>\n<li>Professional interest in civil defense practice; and<\/li>\n<li>Service to community and to the cause of diversity;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Up to two (2) scholarships in the amount of $1,250 each will be awarded to successful applicants.\u00a0 Applicants are required to submit an application, law school transcript and a cover letter addressing the following:\u00a0 academic, personal and professional accomplishments, and why they should be selected as a recipient of the scholarship.\u00a0 Applicants may submit up to three letters of recommendation.<\/p>\n<p>The completed application and all other requested material must be received by April 20, 2012.\u00a0\u00a0Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Winners will be announced in June 2012.\u00a0 Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the OACTA Annual Meeting in November.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Click here to download the application.\" href=\"http:\/\/r20.rs6.net\/tn.jsp?llr=8ehz4xeab&amp;et=1109289094445&amp;s=473&amp;e=001YFiiVfrIoCXVMseMLJ_1Ufv9RXBz0BmjpbmpC3Hn0akYIoU0U-_1OzGs983G_C1lMdFUUYgaPmeu-2PW07cKIpX9k0FKt3kEYdYIhUMsbBs2hj_wwEb-BVyfTkPA9toRAKHf-apqXJawtbB2eRraQBOsSu2EjYu-iPr5P4DivQi2he7hxP9A68mYsKMnLOYA\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to download the application.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OACTA 2012 Law Student Diversity Scholarships Available OACTA&#8217;s annual Law Student Diversity Scholarship program is open to incoming second and third-year African American, Hispanic, Asian, Pan Asian and Native American students enrolled at Ohio law schools.
