This event is the River Run half marathon. It includes a run that is 13.1 miles long that begins at Wallace Lake in Berea, OH and ends at Memorial Fields in Rocky River, OH.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At 7:00 a.m. the walkers will begin the race.<\/p>\n
At 8:00 a.m. the runners will begin.<\/p>\n
The course will close down at 11:00 a.m. (all remaining runners\/walkers will be pushed onto the sidewalks).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Our volunteer duties include a couple of things:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
These are the following opportunities:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
1.)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Water Stop- Volunteers will pour water and Gatorade and hand them to runners as they run by during the race and pick up any cups\/trash in the \u00a0<\/p>\n
area. (Minimum 15 volunteers)<\/p>\n
2.)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Post-race food- Volunteers will help pass out post-race food that is the following: pizza, ice cream, fruit, etc. (minimum 15 volunteers)<\/p>\n
3.)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Timers- Volunteers are placed along the course at each mile marker with a stop watch to yell times to runners are they run by. (13 volunteers)<\/p>\n

We ask that your group arrives at 7:00 a.m. (at your assigned location).\u00a0 Once the last person has come through your location you are free to go.<\/p>\n
