{"id":11922,"date":"2012-10-18T09:38:04","date_gmt":"2012-10-18T14:38:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/?p=11922"},"modified":"2012-10-18T09:38:04","modified_gmt":"2012-10-18T14:38:04","slug":"fingerprinting-not-available-at-ua-police-dept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/2012\/10\/18\/fingerprinting-not-available-at-ua-police-dept\/","title":{"rendered":"Fingerprinting NOT available at UA Police Dept"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have recieved reports that many students needing to be fingerprinted for their Bar application are inquiring at the University of Akron Police Department (UAPD).\u00a0\u00a0UAPD is\u00a0not able to provide this service.<\/p>\n<p>We have also been advised that the Akron Police Department is not able to provide this service.\u00a0 You are most welcome to contact other\u00a0municipal police departments to see if they are able to assist you, but we\u00a0do not know\u00a0which\u00a0municipalities those may be.\u00a0 Therefore, we\u00a0direct students as follows:<\/p>\n<h4 align=\"center\"><strong>Fingerprinting is available at the Sheriff\u2019s Office at the Summit County Jail<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 align=\"center\"><strong>located on Crosier Street just across the 76 expressway.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0Details:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Appointments are required: \u00a0call the Sheriff\u2019s Office\u00a0at\u00a0330-643-5323 to schedule<\/li>\n<li>Appointment times are:\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m. \u2013 11:00 am.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Thursdays, 1:30 p.m. \u2013 3:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Closed holidays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Complete all fingerprint card information prior to arrival<\/li>\n<li>Fingerprinting fee is $10.00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NOTE:\u00a0 When you submit your Certificate of Dean form to Law Student Services for the dean&#8217;s signature, we will return it\u00a0to you <em>in a packet which contains your official fingerprint card<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have recieved reports that many students needing to be fingerprinted for their Bar application are inquiring at the University of Akron Police Department (UAPD).\u00a0\u00a0UAPD is\u00a0not able to provide this service.
