{"id":12109,"date":"2012-10-26T07:04:07","date_gmt":"2012-10-26T12:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/?p=12109"},"modified":"2012-10-26T07:04:07","modified_gmt":"2012-10-26T12:04:07","slug":"examsoft-system-requirements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/2012\/10\/26\/examsoft-system-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Examsoft System Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the release of Windows 8 today, I just wanted to remind everyone about Examsoft\u2019s system requirements.\u00a0 Please keep in mind that Windows 8 will not yet work with Examsoft.\u00a0 If you were anticipating upgrading to the newest version of Windows, I would advise waiting until it is compatible.\u00a0 I also wanted remind Apple users that OSX 10.5 is no longer supported. \u00a0You must have OSX 10.6 or newer.\u00a0 \u00a0Instructions for determining what version of Windows or OSX you have can be found below the system requirements.\u00a0 If anyone has any questions, Please let our office know.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PC System Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CPU = 2GHz Intel\u00ae Core\u2122\/Celeron\u2122 or equivalent x86 processor (<a href=\"http:\/\/support.examsoft.com\/ics\/support\/default.asp?deptID=15194&amp;task=knowledge&amp;questionID=445\" target=\"_blank\">CPU Info<\/a>)<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>RAM = highest recommended for the operating system or 2GB<\/li>\n<li>Hard Drive = highest recommended for the operating system or 1GB of free space<\/li>\n<li>Operating System =\u00a0English 32-bit Versions of Windows XP, 32-bit and 64-bit Versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7.<\/li>\n<li>SofTest cannot be used on virtual operating systems such as Microsoft&#8217;s Virtual Machine, Parallels or VMware, VMware Fusion or any other virtual environments, unless approved for the institution.<\/li>\n<li>Software = Internet Explorer 7.0 or later<\/li>\n<li>Internet connection for SofTest Installation, Exam Download and Upload<\/li>\n<li>Screen Resolution must be 1024&#215;768 or higher<\/li>\n<li>Administrator level account permissions<\/li>\n<li>Windows 8 is not supported<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is not possible to take secure exams through a virtual operating system such as Microsoft&#8217;s Virtual Machine, Parallels or VMware, VMware Fusion or any other virtual operating system environment.
