Due to the inclement weather, their return flight was cancelled, so they rented a car, drove through the night, and arrived back in Cleveland today at 5 am.\u00a0Despite the travel concerns, the team went <strong>undefeated and has advanced to the National Championship<\/strong> in the American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law&#8217;s Ninth Annual Law Student Trial Advocacy Competition.\u00a0 This was the first time Akron participated in this tournament.\u00a0 Three of the advocates are 2Ls who have never been in a competition, and the other is a 3L who has tried one case in competition prior to this.<\/p>\n<p>Please congratulate these students for an outstanding performance when you see them in the building this week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our ABA Trial Team, which consists of Kelle Redepenning, Anthony Wise, Kelsie Carson, and Joshua Rau and is coached by Brian Dodez (&#8217;09) competed in Boston this past weekend.
