Our goal is to present a wide array of opinions and expertise on the topic.\u00a0 Our panel includes:<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>Professor David Hyman<\/strong>, University of Illinois College of Law (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.law.illinois.edu\/faculty\/directory\/DavidHyman\">http:\/\/www.law.illinois.edu\/faculty\/directory\/DavidHyman<\/a>).\u00a0 Professor Hyman is considered to be one of the nation&#8217;s top health law scholars, and has published extensively on the topic of health care regulation.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>Dr. Lucinda Deason<\/strong>, University of Akron (<a href=\"http:\/\/gozips.uakron.edu\/~deason\/\">http:\/\/gozips.uakron.edu\/~deason\/<\/a>).\u00a0 Dr. Deason is a professor in the Dept. of Public Administration and Urban Studies at Akron, and specializes in health care issues faced by the elderly.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>Dr. Lawrence Cima<\/strong>, John Carroll University (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jcu.edu\/voicesandsources\/Profile.aspx?ProfessorID=c416bb68-4d85-48ff-9024-9bc9bfc3fd7a\">http:\/\/www.jcu.edu\/voicesandsources\/Profile.aspx?ProfessorID=c416bb68-4d85-48ff-9024-9bc9bfc3fd7a<\/a>).\u00a0 Dr. Cima is a Professor of Economics at John Carroll University, and specializes in economic justice and individual rights.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\nProfessor William Huhn, Akron School of Law (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uakron.edu\/law\/lawfaculty\/huhn.php\">http:\/\/www.uakron.edu\/law\/lawfaculty\/huhn.php<\/a>).\u00a0 Professor Huhn teaches Health Law, and has always been a great opponent for speakers the Federalist Society invites.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nProf. Hyman and Dr. Cima, both libertarians, are generally opposed to nationalized health care.\u00a0 Dr. Deason is in favor of it, and Professor Huhn lies somehwere in the middle.\u00a0 As previously mentioned, our goal is to spark a spirited discussion on the subject, and educate the audience on the pros and cons of nationalizing our health care system.\u00a0 Format wise, each panel member will get 10 minutes to present their views on the topic.\u00a0 After all panelists have spoken, each will get a two minute rebuttal.\u00a0 After this, we will open it up to questions from the audience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On behalf of the Akron Law Federalist Society and the Akron Black Law Students Association (BLSA), we invite you to attend in a panel discussion on nationalizing health care on Thursday September 10, at 12:15.
