{"id":14409,"date":"2013-04-08T20:23:39","date_gmt":"2013-04-09T00:23:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/?p=14409"},"modified":"2013-04-11T11:35:05","modified_gmt":"2013-04-11T15:35:05","slug":"dont-forget-bloomberg-law-training-is-thursday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/2013\/04\/08\/dont-forget-bloomberg-law-training-is-thursday\/","title":{"rendered":"Don&#8217;t forget, Bloomberg Law training is Thursday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The law student rollout of Bloomberg Law will take place this Thursday, April 11<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Learn how to activate your account and receive training on Bloomberg Law.\u00a0 Training sessions will be offered throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When and where are the training sessions?<br \/>\n<\/strong>All training sessions take place in room 167 in the Law School.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>12:30-1:30 \u2013 includes pizza<\/li>\n<li>1:30-2:30 \u2013 includes pizza<\/li>\n<li>4:00-5:00<\/li>\n<li>5:30-6:30 \u2013 includes pizza<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How do we get a password if we cannot attend the training session?<br \/>\n<\/strong>If you cannot attend the training session or if you want to get a jump on the registration process <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #0000ff\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uakron.edu\/law\/library\/docs\/registration_cards.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline\">follow this link for the instructions<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>. \u00a0You can register now for a Bloomberg password but you must use your University of Akron email address. \u00a0It takes about 24 hours to activate your Bloomberg registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is Bloomberg Law anyway?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Bloomberg Law offers a growing body of legal information such as court opinions, statutes, regulation, secondary sources, and news, as well as the range of corporate and financial information.\u00a0 Users can access an exceptional dockets database that includes Federal docket materials which up until now was only available on PACER.\u00a0 More about Bloomberg Law-&gt; \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/about.bloomberglaw.com\/\">http:\/\/about.bloomberglaw.com\/<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are there any academic restrictions on using the Bloomberg Law password?<br \/>\n<\/strong>No!\u00a0 Bloomberg Law does not have an academic restriction for law students.\u00a0 This means you can use it to conduct research for class or your employer.\u00a0 Access continues throughout the summer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Questions?<\/strong> Contact Lynn Lenart at 330-972-6357 or <a href=\"mailto:llenart@uakron.edu\">llenart@uakron.edu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The law student rollout of Bloomberg Law will take place this Thursday, April 11th.\u00a0 Learn how to activate your account and receive training on Bloomberg Law.\u00a0 Training sessions will be offered throughout the day.
