This week, April 15th-April 19th, the University of Akron will be competing with hundreds of universities across the country to see who can collect the most clothing to benefit local charities and job training programs. This innovative contest is known as 1Shirt. <\/p>\n
The 1Shirt competition provides us with an excellent opportunity to support a charitable organization, as well as, reuse materials before they are eventually discarded. <\/p>\n
The University of Akron\u2019s involvement and expected strong performance in the 1Shirt campaign will help solidify our commitment to improved recycling and sustainability. <\/p>\n
What Can I Do?
\n\u2022\tClean out your closet.
\n\u2022\tCollect and Drop-Off your gently-used clothing and textiles into one of ten designated drop-off bins.
