Hearing Boards are a group of faculty staff and students that hear cases concerning the breaking of University of Akron\u2019s Code of Conduct. After the case has been heard the Hearing Board will assess responsibility and will then apply sanctions to the accused.<\/p>\n<p>Student Judicial Affairs is in need of highly motivated students who play an active role in our campus community, have excellent critical thinking skills, and a strong desire to uphold the educational mission of The University of Akron.<br \/>\nStudents who are interested in becoming a hearing board member are encouraged pick up a hard copy of the application available at the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Floor Information Desk in the Student Union or at The Hub administration desk in Room 130.<br \/>\nStudents who would like to receive an electronic copy of the application or who have questions and concerns regarding the application process should feel free to contact Kevin Crewson, Graduate Assistant for Student Judicial Affairs via email at <a href=\"mailto:sjaga@uakron.edu\">sjaga@uakron.edu<\/a>. An electronic copy is also available on the web at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.akron.edu\/sja\">www.uakron.edu\/sja<\/a><br \/>\nApplications should be returned to the Office of Student Judicial Affairs located in the Student Union, Room 216 and addressed to (Student Judicial Affairs, Attn: Kevin Crewson).\u00a0 Applications are due by 5pm on <strong>February 12<sup>th<\/sup>, 2010. <\/strong>Selected individuals must participate in interviews between February 22<sup>nd<\/sup> and February 26<sup>th<\/sup>.
