The American Intellectual Property Law Association announces the\u00a02014 Robert C. Watson Writing Competition, which recognizes law students for outstanding articles on IP law.<\/p>\n
How to Enter:<\/p>\n
Law students are encouraged to submit an article on\u00a0an IP topic, written on or before june 30, 2014. Judges\u00a0will consider the merit of the article as a contribution\u00a0to the knowledge respecting intellectual property and\u00a0the extent to which it displays original and creative\u00a0thought or information not previously written or\u00a0published by the author prior to July 1, 2013.\u00a0The winner will receive reasonable expense\u00a0reimbursement to attend the AIPLA Annual Meeting,\u00a0October 23-25, 2014 in Washington, DC; to receive\u00a0their award.<\/p>\n
To be eligible for consideration, the article must have\u00a0been written solely by a student or students either in\u00a0full-time attendance at a law school (day or evening) or\u00a0prepared in connection with a law school course. The\u00a0article must be submitted to the American Intellectual\u00a0Property Law Association on or before June 30, 2014.\u00a0Papers should be approximately the equivalent of 10\u00a0law review pages, including footnotes (30-40 pages\u00a0typed copy). Submission must be made in PDF or text\u00a0format. Submission must include the submitter’s\u00a0name, current address, current telephone number,\u00a0and employment information, if applicable.<\/p>\n
