{"id":19234,"date":"2014-03-13T16:44:11","date_gmt":"2014-03-13T20:44:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/?p=19234"},"modified":"2014-03-13T16:44:11","modified_gmt":"2014-03-13T20:44:11","slug":"food-for-fines-serves-a-good-cause-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/2014\/03\/13\/food-for-fines-serves-a-good-cause-2\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cFood for Fines\u201d serves a good cause"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From March 17 to April 6, Bierce, Science and Technology, and the <strong>Law<\/strong> libraries will sponsor their semiannual \u201cFood for Fines\u201d drive to support the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank&#8217;s \u201cHarvest for Hunger\u201d Campaign.\u00a0During the past decade, more than 20,000 pounds of food has been collected by University Libraries for those in need.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone can take advantage of this opportunity to pay off fines and help a good cause \u2014 one food item = $1 toward your fines, and there&#8217;s no limit to the number of items that you may bring to the libraries&#8217; circulation desks.<\/p>\n<p>This offer cannot be used to pay for items that are lost or billed to your library account.
