{"id":25018,"date":"2015-01-30T22:20:27","date_gmt":"2015-01-31T03:20:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/?p=25018"},"modified":"2015-01-30T22:20:27","modified_gmt":"2015-01-31T03:20:27","slug":"mahoning-county-bar-association-scholarship-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/2015\/01\/30\/mahoning-county-bar-association-scholarship-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahoning County Bar Association Scholarship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Mahoning County Bar Association\u2019s mission is to maintain honor in the profession, improve the administration of justice, and encourage the understanding of the law.<\/p>\n<p>Toward these goals, the Mahoning County Bar Association Foundation performs or has performed the following services&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>established scholarships which have been granted to local students attending law school.<\/li>\n<li>established a fund to promote ethics in conjunction with YS.<\/li>\n<li>supports Law Day functions by supplying cash awards to local high school students participating in essay contests.<\/li>\n<li>helps lawyers and their families in times of need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Foundation&#8217;s primary source of funding has been through voluntary contributions paid with Bar dues each year.
