No additional steps are necessary for summer access.\u00a0 You do not have to register for this access.\u00a0 Summer access is available from the date spring classes end through the date fall classes begin.\u00a0 Please contact our Lexis Account Representative, Jennifer Durkin, at <a href=\"mailto:jennifer.durkin@lexisnexis.com\">jennifer.durkin@lexisnexis.com<\/a>, if you have any questions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>WestlawNext \u2013 Summer Restrictions Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WestlawNext accounts will automatically remain active over the summer for a limited number of hours of research each month. Students can get full access over the summer if they have a valid educational need under one of the following provisions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Summer School<\/li>\n<li>School-Related Research Assignment<\/li>\n<li>Moot Court Research<\/li>\n<li>Law Review or Journal Research<\/li>\n<li>Working as a Professor&#8217;s Research Assistant<\/li>\n<li>Non-Profit Externship (receiving academic credit AND unpaid)<\/li>\n<li>Unpaid Internship\/Externship (receiving academic credit AND unpaid)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If one of the above describes your summer activities, please apply to extend your full access at Westlaw&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/lawschool.westlaw.com\/marketing\/display\/MI\/473\">Password Extension<\/a> page.
