If you are interested, please email Mary Beth Clemons at mec61@zips.uakron.edu.<\/p>\n<p>GSLA strives\u00a0to provide the law school community with a forum\u00a0in which students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni may come together to discuss legal issues relevant to gay, bisexual, and trans-gendered people. GSLA is also committed to supporting community organizations with similar goals as well as providing educational resources to the school of law community.<\/p>\n<p>In the coming year, GSLA hopes to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>assess University and Law School policies for LGBT equality and inclusivity<\/li>\n<li>take part in LGBT community events, the first of which will be the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canapi.org\/calendar\/2015\/8\/13\/the-game-change-conference\" target=\"_blank\">Game Change 2<\/a> conference, which GSLA hopes to assist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canapi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">CANAPI<\/a> in spreading the word<\/li>\n<li>provide opportunities for community service\/pro bono service to LGBT community organizations<\/li>\n<li>assist the law school admissions team with recruiting LGBT students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in becoming an officer or signing up for GSLA&#8217;s new email-list, please email Mary Beth at\u00a0mec61@zips.uakron.edu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GSLA is seeking an executive board for 2015-2016.
