Mark your calendars for a fantastic event at the Portage Country Club!<\/p>\n
On Friday, November 12 at Portage Country Club, the Women in Law Section of the Akron Bar Association is hosting a CLE discussing conduct and attire in the courtroom, along with some of the reported decisions that address this same issue.\u00a0 Judges Rowlands, McCarty, and Cosgrove will be our panelists, and the program has been approved for 1.0 hour of Professionalism credit.\u00a0 The CLE starts at 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Immediately after the CLE, we\u2019ll be having our \u201cLaw Suits Fashion Show.\u201d\u00a0 We\u2019ll be serving heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, while we enjoy a fashion show featuring both men and women\u2019s<\/span> clothing.\u00a0 Judges from our local courts will be modeling, while Judge Tom McCarty will be our emcee.<\/p>\n The cost of the event is:<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 $42 for CLE and fashion show We will also be collecting donations of gently-used professional clothing that will be contributed to the students of the Akron Law and Leadership Institute.\u00a0 These suits will allow some students (who might not otherwise have access to such specialty clothing) to participate in the program with confidence.\u00a0<\/p>\n For more information, click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Hope to see you there!<\/p>\n Sincerely,<\/p>\n Caryn L.
