{"id":55027,"date":"2018-02-28T16:43:08","date_gmt":"2018-02-28T21:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/?p=55027"},"modified":"2018-02-28T16:43:08","modified_gmt":"2018-02-28T21:43:08","slug":"patent-law-interview-program-registration-begins-today-march-1st","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/2018\/02\/28\/patent-law-interview-program-registration-begins-today-march-1st\/","title":{"rendered":"Patent Law Interview Program Registration begins today, March 1st"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>REMINDER<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To:\u00a0 All Law Students Returning For Fall Semester 2018<\/p>\n<p>Re:\u00a0 2018 Loyola Patent Law Interview Program<\/p>\n<p>Loyola University Chicago School of Law is hosting the 2018 Patent Law Interview Program on <strong>Thursday and Friday, July 26-27<\/strong> in Chicago, Illinois.\u00a0 This is a nationwide interview program that targets patent law employers, rising 2L and 3L students, and students in Intellectual Property LLM programs.<\/p>\n<p>Last year roughly 150 employers, 190 law schools, and 1,200 law students from across the country participated in the program.\u00a0 The program is entirely pre-selected, which means that students submit application materials to apply to interviews with the employers they are interested in, and employers then review their materials and select the students they wish to interview at the program.\u00a0 Last year, approximately half of the participating students were selected for interviews.<\/p>\n<p>Students with undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering or a technical science should consider registering for the program.\u00a0 You do not need to be patent bar eligible to register, although the vast majority of employers participating in the program are seeking patent bar eligible students.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the program, please refer to the Loyola Patent Program website at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.luc.edu\/law\/career\/patent_students.html\">http:\/\/www.luc.edu\/law\/career\/patent_students.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Online student registration for this year\u2019s Patent Law Interview Program will begin on Thursday, March 1 and close on Friday, March 23.<\/strong>\u00a0 Online registration is now open at <a href=\"https:\/\/patentlawregistration.luc.edu\/lawstudents\/\">https:\/\/patentlawregistration.luc.edu\/lawstudents\/<\/a>. At this stage of registration, you will only need to enter some basic information (you will upload your resume and bid on interviews later in the semester).\u00a0 Please note that our school is listed alphabetically as University of Akron School of Law on the registration form\u2019s drop down menu of law schools.<\/p>\n<p>We will be paying the $35 registration fee for our students, so you will not be charged anything when you register online.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have registered, the program staff will communicate with you directly via email to the address that you entered when registering for the program.
