{"id":63019,"date":"2019-01-04T09:11:38","date_gmt":"2019-01-04T14:11:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/?p=63019"},"modified":"2019-01-04T09:12:10","modified_gmt":"2019-01-04T14:12:10","slug":"howard-fox-memorial-law-scholarship-fund-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/law\/2019\/01\/04\/howard-fox-memorial-law-scholarship-fund-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship Fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">In 1978 the Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship Fund was established by Helen and Richard Fox and Friends to honor the memory of their son who, as a proud member of the Berks County Bar Association, served as a young attorney in the Public Defender\u2019s Office.\u00a0 In 2000, the Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship Fund was transferred to the Berks County Community Foundation to manage and administer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The scholarship supports graduates of Berks County, Pennsylvania, high schools who will be entering an accredited law school or who are currently attending an accredited law school to pursue a law degree.\u00a0 Preference will be given to students entering their second year of law school; however, all applicants meeting the criteria are encouraged to apply.\u00a0 Previous recipients of a scholarship from this fund may reapply in a future year &#8211; as long as they will still be in law school &#8211;
