I have attached the link to our website below, which has the requirements\nand the downloadable pdf fillable application. Please, post and share with your\nlaw school students. The deadline to apply is <strong>Friday, March 22, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.akronbar.org\/index.cfm?pg=Scholarships\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Akron Bar Foundation, the\ncharitable arm of the Akron Bar Association, works to improve the quality of\njustice and the image of lawyers through the support of law-related and public\nservice programs primarily directed to the Akron metropolitan area. The best\nway to talk about the success of the Akron Bar Foundation is to look at the\nnumbers. In 2018, the Akron Bar Foundation provided\nthe following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>$34,575<\/strong>\n     granted to 11 community organizations<\/li><li><strong>$40,000<\/strong>\n     awarded in scholarships to deserving law students selected for their academic\n     achievement, service to the community, financial need and with a connection to\n     Summit County <em>(live\/lived in or parents<\/em><em>\/<\/em><em>grandparents\n     are <\/em><em>from Summit County, etc.)<\/em><\/li><li><strong>$2,500<\/strong>\n     granted two fellowships to law students working in an unpaid\n     intern position for a non-profit or government entity<strong> <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>$15,000<\/strong>\n     approved in grant monies to the Akron Municipal Court for Wi-Fi and\n     electronic device charging stations<\/li><li><strong>$29,000 a<\/strong>pproved\n     in grant monies to provide local attorneys with patron access to the law\n     library at the UA School of Law<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Akron Bar Foundation Scholarship Application for law school students is now open.
