The Ohio State Bar Association would like to welcome you to law school!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I recently attended the new student orientation reception at the University of Akron School of Law.\u00a0 As the current OSBA president, I was delighted to be given the opportunity to speak to incoming students during this reception.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I would personally encourage you to get involved with your state bar association from the beginning of your law school experience.\u00a0 The OSBA has many benefits for law students including committees and sections, networking opportunities, employment assistance, and Casemaker.\u00a0 Casemaker is our online legal research tool that is offered for free as part of your OSBA membership.\u00a0 I would encourage you to ask your professors about Casemaker and the training that the OSBA has to offer.\u00a0 You will find Casemaker to be one of the most used tools throughout your law school career.\u00a0 Many firms are using Casemaker as their primary research tool.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
