The Legal Aid Society serves Brown, Butler,\nClermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, and Warren Counties in Southwest Ohio.\nThere are two offices (downtown Cincinnati and Hamilton, Ohio) and a total\nstaff of about 89, including 41 attorneys and 13 paralegals. The attorneys\nrepresent individual clients in civil legal matters and assist community\norganizations and client groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duties: <\/strong>Perform legal\nresearch and provide other assistance to Legal Aid attorneys in their cases. In\naddition, all summer law clerks attend regular meetings on public internet law\ntopics with their supervisors and other attorneys. Summer clerks will have\nnumerous opportunities to observe court proceedings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications: <\/strong>Should have\ncompleted your 1L or 2L year of law school before the summer of 2020. Should\nhave a strong academic record, an interest in public interest law, and good\norganizational and communication skills.&nbsp;<strong>Applicants who can obtain\nfunding from their law school, Equal Justice Works, or other sources, are\npreferred.<\/strong>&nbsp;We may be able to supplement funding, especially for\napplicants who will have completed their 2L year of law school.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply: <\/strong>E-mail the\nfollowing to staffing@lascinti.org.
